Care Guide
Care is the purest form of love
Caring for your wool garnments is not just about maintenance—it’s an act of respect for the craftsmanship and dedication poured into every stitch.
Each hand-knit creation embodies a legacy of skill, tradition, and sustainable practice. By caring for them, you preserve their beauty, longevity, and the story they carry, allowing them to continue as part of your own journey.
Care instructions
Naturally rich in lanolin, wool is dirt-resistant and does not need to be washed often. The best way to refresh your Guðrun&Guðrun garments is to simply hang them in clean air (preferably in misty weather). Your garment can also be spot-cleaned, for example at the neckline and cuffs, with a small amount of wool soap and lukewarm water, then left to dry.
If you still want to wash it fully, hand-wash gently in lukewarm water.
You can also dry-clean or machine-wash your Faroese or lamb’s wool in lukewarm water on a wool setting with a small amount of wool soap. Remove excess water by rolling it in a towel and squeezing gently. Unroll and flat-dry it in the desired shape.
